Just after we started our trip, I spied of a hawk above us. I said something about it to her and told her where to look. Soon she began to learn how to see them too. Ecstasy is not enough to describe how she felt. Then she wanted to describe the birds she was seeing. It was just as if we had opened a whole new world for her. I knew it had. Soon after that I handed my bird binoculars to her.
